The Joanna Briggs Institute Library

The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Library is a repository for publications and information for policy makers, health professionals, health scientists and others with a practical or academic interest in evidence based healthcare. It includes:

  • The JBI Database of Systematic Reviews and Implementation Reports;
  • The JBI Database of Best Practice Information Sheets and Technical Reports; and
  • The JBI Database of Rapid Appraisals of Published Papers (coming soon).

The JBI Database of Systematic Reviews and Implementation Reports

The JBI Database of Systematic Reviews and Implementation Reports is a refereed online journal that publishes systematic review protocols and systematic reviews of healthcare research following the JBI methodology and undertaken by the Joanna Briggs Institute and its international collaborating centres and groups. These reviews may be of quantitative or qualitative research data, text and/or opinion, relate to economic data or combinations of the above. The JBI Database of Systematic Reviews and Implementation Reports also publishes the Institute's implementation reports that present the findings of projects that seek to implement the best available evidence into practice.

The JBI Database of Best Practice Information Sheets and Technical Reports

The JBI Database of Best Practice Information Sheets and Technical Reports publishes JBI Best Practice information sheets that present recommendations derived from best available evidence to guide policy and practice in healthcare. JBI Best Practice information sheets summarize the important findings and recommendations from published systematic reviews in brief, easy to use guidance documents. JBI Best Practice information sheets are translated and available in different languages. The Database also publishes JBI Technical Reports that detail the methods used to create each associated Best Practice Information Sheet.
